Event photography for festivals and cultural venues in Barcelona
Professional photography for music festivals, performing arts and cultural spaces in Barcelona and Catalunya. A reusable visual archive for communications, press and annual reports.
A festival needs images that work the morning after the show, three months later for the annual report, and five years later for the retrospective. We’re not just documenting a moment: we’re building a visual archive. We know the difference — and we’ve been doing it for over twenty years.
Since 2002 we’ve covered the Festival de Blues de Barcelona, ViJazz Vilafranca, Nou Barris Meets New Orleans, Clot en Blues, Pícnic de Blues, Flamenco de Barrio, Arundo Donax Festival and dozens of cultural spaces and cycles across Catalonia. We know the rhythms of a festival because we’ve lived them from the inside, year after year: we know when the best light hits, when the performer relaxes between songs, when the audience becomes part of the scene.

What does festival coverage include?
A festival isn’t a single performance: it’s a living organism with multiple layers. Our coverage captures all of it:
- The stage: performances at full intensity, opening moments and climaxes, the relationship between performer and audience
- Backstage: the artist before going on, the technical crew, last-minute changes
- The setting: the physical space, daylight and night light, the corners that define the festival’s atmosphere
- The audience: the people who make it all meaningful — reactions, connections, spontaneous moments
- The people who make it happen: organisers, volunteers, technicians, sponsors
Every festival has its own visual logic. A jazz club cycle and an open-air circus festival require completely different approaches. We’ve been adapting to both for years.
An archive built to last
The images we deliver aren’t designed for a single use. They are organised by day and edition, with an unrestricted professional licence, and exported in the formats you need:
- High-resolution JPEGs for press and print
- Optimised versions for website and social media
- Edited selection for grant applications and annual reports
- Access to the full archive for future uses
A three-day festival typically produces between 150 and 400 final edited images, depending on access and the number of stages.
The long-term relationship
Some of the festivals we work with have called us back year after year. Not because we’re the cheapest option — but because when the next edition arrives, the photographer already knows the space, the regular artists, the moments that can’t be missed. That continuity shows in the images.
What does it cost?
Depends on the number of days, access, volume of edited images and whether you need coverage of a single stage or the whole site. We don’t work with fixed rates. Write to us and we’ll send a proposal within 48 hours.
